What is a Cyber Attack?

Cyberattacks are unlawful attempts to access computer systems to steal, expose, modify, disable, or destroy data.

Types of Cyber Attacks

  1. Phishing
  2. Malware
  3. Man-in-the-middle attack
  4. Denial-of-service attack

Phishing

Phishing is similar to lying to a victim. Phishing attempts to obtain sensitive data such as credit card numbers and login credentials or to infect the victim's computer with malware. One of the most well-known methods used today is phishing.

Malware

Any software package intended to interfere with a computer is called malware or "malicious software." They usually appear after a user hits a risky link or email attachment that installs harmful software, including malware, ransomware, viruses, and worms.

Man-in-the-middle attack

Attackers who inject themselves into a two-party group action are said to be conducting a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack, also known as an eavesdropping attack. After interrupting the traffic, the attackers will filter and steal data. The majority of man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks rely on WIFI.

Denial-of-service attack

A denial-of-service assault (DDoS) These DDoS attacks: what are they? Usually, it operates by increasing network traffic and shutting down the networks. Because of this, the system cannot satisfy valid requests. Attackers also employ numerous compromised devices to carry out this attack.
